This 5500T Tall version of the 5500 has a 27" back height and a 44" extension from the back of the seat to the end of the footrest when it is reclined. This chair has a 21" wide seat between the arrms and a 21" seat height from the ground. It has a seat with pocketed coil springs and 4 tie wires for even weight distribution and prevention of sagging. This seat provides all-day sitting comfort. The optionsl memory foam seat is a very popular feature that enhances the sitting comfort even more and helps prevent pressure sores. The highlights of this model are independent back and leg motors. You can adjust the back recline angle separately from the legrest so that you can sit in any position you wish. Sit straight up with your legs straight out to watch TV or recline all the way Flat to sleep in the chair like a bed.

Our Med-Lift Wall Hugger 5500 Tall with the memory foam seat option is our best selling lift chair. This chair offers outstanding comfort along with many available options at a great value. It now come standard with pocketed coil springs in the seat.

This model is available with a very comfortable visco memory foam seat option and even full top grain leather upholstery.

The tall size 5500 fits someone from about 5'8" to 6'1" well. (Please check specifications to be sure the sizing is what you want) The seat width is 20.5" and the weight capacity is up to 375 lb.
