The Type 14371B harness is used in 2 zone and 3 zone heat and massage lift chairs that were made by Med-Lift, La Z Boy, and possibly Best.

If your harness is bad it will often make a clicking noise when the buttons on the hand control are depressed. Please make note that this harness will not replace 14371-27 for a 11690U27 Hand control using a 29 VDC 2 amp two pin flat and round power supply.

If your hand control is bad your chair will often be stuck in the all the way up position lifted or the all the way down position with the legs elevated and it will be silent when you depress the buttons on the hand control.

If your motor / actuator is bad you will often here a grinding or spinning noise and it will not lift or recline properly. If this is the case send us a photo of the label on your motor. We most likely have a replacement motor. Send to service@liftchair.com.

The 14371B harness is in limited supply. These lift chairs used the Inseat 15541 and 15571 power supplies which are obsolete and no longer available. If your power supply is lost or is defective and not putting out 24 VDC to 32 VDC and 12 VAC you will not be able to utilize this 14371B harness and will need to settle for being able to work your chair up and down without heat and massage by using this workaround kit if your motor is still good. P135A workaround kit.

This 14371B harness works with these two hand controls which we do still have available for sale.

Inseat 11540 and Inseat 11700, 11700U, and 11700UX

We do have a solution to work your chair up and down with a different power supply and hand control. This solution can be set up side by side with your existing setup if your heat and massage are still working. You can leave your existing set up in place and continue to use it for the operation of the heat and massage. You will just have a new power supply and hand control to work the chair up and down that will replace the up and down function on your existing hand control.

If your heat and massage are still working and only your up and down is not working you can leave your existing set up as is to work your heat and massage and use the P135A workaround kit. to work the chair up and down.
