The 15541 three-prong power supply and other three-prong power supplies pictured here are discontinued and not available.

This kit is only for lift chairs with one single lifting motor. There are 3 motor La Z Boy lift chairs that this will not work for that have the 11620-07 hand control pictured. The new kit plugs into your old motor. If you end up needing a new motor also we will discount it. This kit plugs directly into your motor under the chair. If you look at the motor housing you will see the round 5 PIN DIN connector where your harness is currently plugged in. Disconnect the harness from the motor housing. Then plug the new hand control in here. You will see a 3" pigtail that is not being used on the motor housing. It may have a protective cap on it. This is where you plug in the new power supply. This is a complete replacement kit that will work your chair up and down.To install this kit you will unplug the old harness from your motor. Plug the new hand control into the round 5 pin DIN socket where you unplugged the harness. Plug the new power supply into the two-prong flat and round 2-inch pigtail on your motor housing that is hanging there unused. Before you remove your old hand control take a felt marker or bread ties and mark where the hand control cord is zip-tied so you can install the new hand control the same way.It will no longer operate your heat and massage feature.

It includes everything but the motor. We discount the motor also if you end up needing it. You unplug the current connections to your motor to plug the two connections for the new kit into your chair. If you have heat and massage and it is still working you can leave your current hand control plugged into the harness and still use the heat and massage with your original hand control. You will have a new two-button up and down hand control to operate your chair up and down.

This kit includes a new modern power supply, cables, and a new simple up and down hand control without heat and massage that will operate your chair up and down with no heat and massage options on the hand control.

You simply discard or bypass all your old electronics but your single motor. This kit is only for lift chairs with one single lifting motor. There are some 3 motor La Z Boy lift chairs that this will not work for. The new kit plugs into your old motor. If you end up needing a new motor also we will discount it.

These obsolete old 3 prong connector power supplies were most often used on chairs with up and down and heat and massage all on one single hand control. The obsolete power supplies are pictured here at the right.

Most of the time if you have a single motor lift chair or power recliner you can buy the following kit and have a simple up and down operation without heat and massage. If you look under your chair and you see an unused two-prong flat and round pin pigtail hanging down from your motor housing with nothing plugged into it this workaround kit will plug into that pigtail and the round five-pin DIN connector next to it that is currently plugged into your harness.

You can email us a photo of your hand control front and back and the end of your motor housing where everything plugs in and we can tell you if our workaround setup will work for you. With this workaround setup, you will not have heat and massage unless your old heat and massage are working, in which case you can leave it plugged in and use this new setup side by side to move the chair up and down. (Frequently people have this old setup with a 11540 hand control and only their up and down is out but their heat and massage are still functioning. This workaround setup will work for you.)
